This is the OpenRocket viewport with structure and estimated apogee.

Apogee was visually similar between my custom motor and an Estes A8-5 motor.

Propellant Ratio/Prep Testing

I tested many different ratios of KNO3 to Sucrose and methods of preparing the propellant. My best results came from a 60:40 ratio, milling the powders down before mixing, and drying the powders before melting them together.
